GO Proudly Presents: 100 Women We Love, Class Of 2022

100 Women We Love

Well, look who showed up on page 79 of GOMagazine’s annual feature of their Pride edition, “Women We Love.” I am beyond thrilled to be included on this list with such an amazing group of women. Especially on this date, when we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX. The work, and the struggle, continue. It indeed takes a village.

I can remember back to one of my first NYC Pride Marches after coming out, grabbing a copy of GO Magazine, and thinking “wouldn’t it be great to be on this list someday?” I love it when things come full circle like that. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at GO Magazine for including me in this incredible collective of voices for change in our world.

LinkedIn Top LGBTQIA+ Voices: The 10 creators to follow in the U.S. and Canada

Beyond honored to be on the #linkedintopvoices list with such wonderfully important voices for the LGBTQ+ community. Especially, my friends and colleagues in the movement, Celia Sandhya Daniels and Fabrice C Houdart. Collectively, all of you make such a profound difference in the lives of so many and I am grateful to be in your company. Let’s go change the world together!

Stonewall Event

In mid-March, my wife Mari and I had the privilege of making our first trip back to New York City since the pandemic for two events that provided watershed moments for me as a speaker, activist, and author.  The first event was held at the historic Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village and was a combined promotional event for my book, Reflections From Both Sides of the Glass Ceiling:  Finding My Authentic Self in Corporate America, and as the initial fundraiser for the organization that I am proud to serve as the Board President of, TransNewYork.  The event filled the upstairs room at The Stonewall with friends, family, and supporters of the organization – and of me.  It was beyond gratifying to have the chance to share a passage from my book, meet new people and sign copies of my book for those who have been touched in some way by my stories.  It was a wonderful bonus that we were able to also us the occasion as a fundraiser for TransNewYork.  It was an honor to share the stage with the organization’s Executive Director and good friend, Dr. Genn Herley, and my sincere thanks go out to all of our sponsors and friends that created a memorable evening indeed!

The Importance of Diversity and Inclusive Language

Male privilege permeates every nook and cranny of society, especially the workplace. But what happens when the male privilege you enjoyed in the past is no longer part of your life? Stephanie joined co-hosts Scott Abel and Patrick Bosek for a frank discussion about the role of language when communicating with, to, or about transgender and gender non-conforming individuals.  Watch the webinar here.

Stephanie adds her voice to the release event for the HRC’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index (CEI)

In a global live event that aired on January 28th, the Human Rights Campaign released the results of the 2021 Corporate Equality Index and asked Stephanie to lend her voice to the proceedings to speak about how far the CEI has come with creating welcoming workplaces for transgender and non-binary employees, and reminding everyone that while a cause for celebration, there is still much more work to be done.  (Stephanie appears at approximately the 24-minute mark.)
